BISim offers Professional Services to assist you in VBS development or integration. Customers contracting BISim for Professional Services receive the highest level of support and direct assistance from BISim engineers that is otherwise not available.

Professional Services cover a wide variety of specialized support tasks and typically involve VBS developers working directly with your staff to ensure a successful VBS deployment. 

VBS is a complex software platform that has been applied to hundreds of use cases, from desktop training to integration on part-task and crew procedural simulators. Although we offer training courses on a range of VBS technology, Professional Services further leverages your VBS investment by providing high-priority access to our highly trained software developers.  

Under a Professional Services arrangement, you might ask us to assist you with the following types of projects:
  • Debugging custom VBS scripts
  • 3D model creation or modification
  • Terrain creation or modification
  • Creating new terrains for different simulation runtimes, which correlate with VBS
  • Creation of new scenarios or custom scripts
  • Developing new VBS simulation engine features
  • Integrating VBS with other simulations via HLA, DIS or CIGI
  • Integrating VBS IG with new host simulations
  • Development of new Fusion plug-ins or debugging existing Fusion plug-ins
  • VBS3Fires / VBS3Fires FST support issues
  • Integrating VBS with new types of hardware (e.g., Oculus Rift or LEAP Motion)


Professional Services are pre-purchased in in 10-hour blocks, which are 'drawn down' as support staff or developers are engaged to assist you.

You will access Professional Services through our Support Helpdesk (support@bisimulations.com). If you request development work, your request will be analyzed by the development team and you will be informed of the number of hours it will likely take to achieve the given task. Time spent in analysis does not count toward Professional Services hours. 

BISim is not obliged to provide requested Professional Services until it confirms to you in writing that it will perform the requested Professional Services.

BISim will work with you to schedule the release of any improvements into our regular release cycle. BISim typically releases a new version of VBS each quarter; however, this may vary. 

BISim and/or its affiliates own, and shall retain ownership of, all rights whatever nature (including but not limited to all intellectual property rights) in and to the BISim products, and all modifications thereto and all results and proceeds of all work undertaken as Professional Services.

Professional Services hours expire 12 months from the date of purchase.

All modifications made to the BISim baseline products and all results and proceeds of all work undertaken under this policy may be freely distributed and exploited by BISim and/or its affiliates without further reference, payment or any other obligation to any third party including the customer. Customers who purchased Professional Services are not entitled to receive any data rights (including but not limited to access to, or provision of, unencrypted source code).
